A Working Desalinator in Canaan III

We're in Haiti for a couple of weeks surveying wells, cisterns & churches. Just finished up installing a reverse osmosis, desalinization project in Canaan III, outside of Port Au Prince. Thanks to Pastor Paul from GatheringPoint Church and the Engineering team from Olivet Nazarene University. This well system will provide water to a school and church as well as provide a source of income as they will sell low cost water to the surrounding community!

Life Giving Water in Ka Toussaint!

That year we built a cistern at Ka Toussaint, near the Dominican Republic border. This is the largest church in the area and serves as the community meeting facility as well as hosting churches of other denominations when they need large facilities.

Up to 1500 people are served by this large cistern, especially in times of drought. Livestock has also been saved by this life-giving water. God is growing His Kingdom as a result of available clean water!

A Successful Cistern in Platon-Cedre

At Platon-Cedre another cistern and rain water collection system has been completed! This village is high in the mountains and relies on coffee production for income. They are seeking a disease resistant coffee variety as a blight is destroying many of their plants. They have no means of getting their crop to market and the road to Platon-Cedre is frequently impassable. We take mobility and transportation for granted, they cannot. Their church has 500+ members.

Devastated by Hurricane Mathieu

Joseph Esperance leads the newly formed Grad Anse district in South West Haiti. This is where Huricane Mathieu came ashore and caused widespread devastation. Almost all of the district's 30+ churches were completely destroyed. Joesph remains upbeat and hopeful as he leads a hurting people.

The task of rebuilding is made almost impossible for them due to their extreme poverty, unemployment, and lack of food and clean water. I want to share some of their stories in hopes that together we can come to their aid.

At Kans they had not started their church construction so they were spared that loss but are losing the lease on space they've been using for 10 years. A well is desperately needed for clean water and to build their church.
